The Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company, with a focus on interior fit out projects. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide regular financial reports to management for decision-making purposes. Budget Management: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for interior fit out projects. Monitor and track project expenses against budgets, identifying and addressing any variances. Cost Control and Analysis: Monitor project costs, including material, labor, and overhead expenses. Analyze cost data to identify areas for potential cost savings and process improvements. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers. Monitor and manage customer invoicing, ensuring timely and accurate billing. Cash Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate funds are available for ongoing operations and project expenses. Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and national tax regulations, including filing of tax returns and payment of taxes in a timely manner. Financial Audits: Coordinate and assist with external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and information. Financial Systems and Tools: Utilize accounting software and other financial tools to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Vendor and Contractor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and other financial stakeholders, ensuring adherence to contractual terms. Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and regulations, and ensure the companys financial practices are in compliance. Ad-hoc Financial Tasks: Assist with special financial projects and tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Min 1-2 yrs. of experience in accounting or finance, with specific experience in the interior fit out industry highly desirable. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
