Job Objective: To extend and provide support to the Group Finance Manager by ensuring that all financial records and reporting are up to standard, updated and maintained regularly and involve in other accounting tasks.
Key Accountabilities:
- Day-to-day accounting operations and recording of journal entries to ERP Accounting System; - Reconciliation of Clients Accounts Receivables, Vendors Accounts Payables, Bank Statements, Credit Card & Petty Cash Ledger; - Issue invoices to Clients, sending weekly Statement of Accounts, and follow-up Account receivables; - Prepare timely and accurate Vendor payments through cash, checks and bank transfers; - Perform key month-end closing activities including preparing, reviewing, and posting journal entries and update the inventory; - Proper knowledge of UAE VAT, and timely manage quarterly VAT filing and payment on the FTA portal; - Summarize monthly and annual financial status by collecting information; preparing Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss statement, and other reports and reporting them to the Finance Manager; - Handling of basic Administrative tasks and budget preparations as required by the Management; and - Support Auditors for annual audit. - Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports. - Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. - Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports. - Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents. - Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. - Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions. - Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. - Secures financial information by completing database backups. - Maintains financial security by following internal controls. - Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
Experience and Qualification
Minimum Qualification:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field · Master’s Degree in Finance / CPA / ACCA certification will be an added advantage
Minimum Experience:
· Minimum 2 - 3 years or more experience as Accountant in manufacturing or retail
